An independent agency, not a single carrier

We are an independent Ohio agency. That means we compare carriers rather than defend one company's rate — which matters more for a driver who needs an SR-22 than for almost anyone else, because carriers disagree enormously about how to price a high-risk record.

Ohio requires the certificate to be filed by a company licensed to do business here, and many of them file electronically so it processes within about 72 hours. Getting to the right carrier quickly is most of the job.

We keep up with the rules when they change

Ohio cut the first-offence SR-22 period from three years to one on 9 April 2025, and cut the repeat-offence period from five years to one. Most sites still publish the old numbers.

The BMV's random-selection insurance verification programme ended in 2019, and plenty of pages still warn Ohio drivers to expect a verification letter that no longer comes.

We would rather be the site that tells you the requirement is shorter than you feared than the site that quietly sells you three years of a one-year filing.

We point you at the money you are owed

The BMV runs a permanent reinstatement fee amnesty programme. Depending on your offence it can halve your fees, and with proof of indigence — SNAP, Medicaid, Ohio Works First, SSI or a VA pension — it can waive them entirely.

There is also a statutory payment plan under ORC 4510.10 for balances of at least $150. Both of them need current proof of insurance to activate, which is the part we handle.

We move you off high-risk pricing when the requirement clears

The end of the filing is not the end of the relationship. Once it clears you stop being a driver who needs a certificate and become a driver with an older incident, and those are priced very differently.

That is the moment to re-shop the whole market. Most agencies never call. We do.
